iCog Labs

iCog Labs is a research and development company based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, collaborating with international AI research groups and serving customers around the world. The organization’s mission is to advance science and technology for the good of all humanity, with a special focus on advanced AI and on the use of cutting-edge technology to help leapfrog Africa into the future. iCog Lab’s objectives are multidimensional due to the different projects it works on. One example is the Solve IT project, which has the main objective of creating a better tech market and ecosystem in Ethiopia. To achieve this, Solve IT is a 10-month nationwide innovation competition for youth between the age of 18-28 in Addis Ababa and 14 cities of Ethiopia. This innovation competition’s specific objective is solving social problems using technology.
