Training: Introduction to Entrepreneurship
On April 28th and 29th, the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) Civic Engagement Hub conducted a two-day training session titled “Introduction to Entrepreneurship”. The training session – provided by Dr. Woretaw Bezabih, an Ethiopian entrepreneurship trainer – led thirty aspiring entrepreneurs, business owners, and leaders from social enterprises and CSOs through the basics of entrepreneurship and starting a business.
During the training session, participants learned about the nature of entrepreneurship, the steps of the entrepreneurship process, the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Ethiopia, and how to identify opportunities for entrepreneurship. This training session helped current and aspiring entrepreneurs learn about the process of entrepreneurship from identifying an opportunity to the complete lifecycle of a business. The session allowed participants to learn from examples of successful entrepreneurs and develop ten-year goals for their businesses.
While most participants joined from Addis Ababa, two members of the session were able to join from other regions in Ethiopia.
