CEH Speaker Session: Inspiring Community Engagement

On April 27th, the CIPE Civic Engagement Hub conducted its eight regular speaker session online on the role of social enterprise in inspiring community engagement. Mr. Mulugeta Gebru, the Founder and Executive Director of Jerusalem Children and Community Development Organization (JeCCDO) served as the speaker for this session.

JeCCDO, which has been operating for over thirty years, supports children across Ethiopia. At the event, the speaker shared community engagement success stories and lessons learned from JeCCDO. He highlighted the involvement of community members in the program planning, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation as a key success of the organization.

Following the event, participants stayed for an online zoom breakout networking session. During the breakout session, participants interacted actively with each other and shared information about their organizations and initiatives.
