Training: Introduction to Entrepreneurship, Project Management, Advocacy, and Organizational Sustainability

From August 4-6, the Center for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) East Africa Regional Office held a three-day, in-person training session hosted by the CIPE Civic Engagement Hub. CIPE was joined by Entrepreneurship Expert, Dr. Woretaw Bezabeh for the Introduction to Entrepreneurship session and Project Management Expert, Heyeru Hussien for the Introduction to Project Management session, as well as CIPE Africa Director Lars Benson and Program Manager Rebecca Yohannes for the Introduction to Advocacy and Organizational Sustainability training sessions. The training sessions were attended by representatives from emerging CSOs and social enterprises, as well as aspiring entrepreneurs and business leaders.

Event Details:

On Day 1, the training session covered the foundations of entrepreneurship for individuals new to the idea of entrepreneurship or just beginning to consider starting a business. On Day 2, the training session equipped participants with an introductory understanding of project management and the project management cycle. On Day 3, the training session covered an introduction to advocacy and organizational sustainability, with a primary focus on financial sustainability.
